Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge visit to India – 11 Apr 2016
Prince William and Catherine Duchess of Cambridge begin their Delhi programme with a wreath-laying at India Gate. This memorial is situated in the heart of New Delhi. The 42m high red sandstone structure is the country’s main war memorial, covering the two world wars, the Third Anglo-Afghan War, and the Indo Pakistan War of 1971. As the world marks 100 years since the First World War, The Duke and Duchess will in particular honour the 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives while fighting for the British Army during the conflict

MUMBAI, INDIA – APRIL 10: Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and his wife Kate Middleton at Banganga slums, both chatted to the slum’s residents, who revealed that they had never been visited by celebrities or politicians before, during their royal visit to India, on April 10, 2016 in Mumbai, India. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge paid their respects at one of the sites of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks Sunday as they began a weeklong visit to India. Prince William said his wife Kate Middleton wanted to visit India ever since they got married. “It has been a wonderful and colourful evening. It has been a real treat to be welcomed to India in this way… When Catherine and I got married, India was the first place in her list which she told me she wanted to visit. Two children and five years later we finally made it and we are quite honored to be here,” he said. The 33-year-old Prince said the relationship between England and India has evolved over the years but his family’s regard for the country has remained unchanged. It seems fitting that we start our journey from here… A short distance from the Gateway of India where so many people including my great great grandfather had come, William said at the Bollywood gala night at the iconic Taj Palace Hotel here.
E a Kate, gente?
e beijo, The, adorei o post!
